Welcome all members old and new!

Thank you for visiting the NCI Chess society. This is NCI's only Chess club located in the college library. Membership is not limited to students of NCI. If you love chess, join the club by filling out a quick application, we hope to see you at the next blitz!

The club meets Tuesday evenings in the college library where practice sessions and competitive matches can be enjoyed from 7.45 PM on a “drop in” basis. We are a small club comprising mostly of NCI students, visitors and new members are always welcome. If you have your own board please bring it along!

Get ready for the 2020 Christmas Blitz

Its that time of year again, our annual Christmas tournament which kicks off on Tuesday 22nd December. Defending champion, Colm Regan faces a tough match against last years runner up Kagnus Marlsen in the first round, potential game of the tournament!

NOTE: This is an open tournament, however in order to claim a prize you must be a registered club member. Please read the following stipulations :

1. Events are held at 8pm Tuesday, open to all members and visitors, played out in the College library.

2. Players will be given 30 minutes each side of the board.

3. First prize of 30 eur to highest placed club member.
